CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT
NetChart CM module allows engineers and managers to take control over network parameters. Not only thousands of parameters can be shown, but their consistency can be checked against flexible user-defined rule.
Key functionalities:
- Comparison of network elements against each other for easy detection of anomalies.
- Inconsistency checks for any network element and/or parameter.
- Full history of parameter changes to detect any change impacting on network performance.
- Baseline Control reports to follow the progress of network compliance to configuration standards.
CORRELATION USING MACHINE LEARNING
NetWarden Insight takes advantage of state of the art Machine Learning algorithms to correlate data sources collected by NetChart to provide actionable insights for network optimization.
Currently, engineers perform the network optimization manually or using rule-based algorithms. As modern networks evolve and become more complex, these algorithms are quickly becoming obsolete or no longer viable.
The use of Machine Learning algorithms allows engineers to automatize their activities and to identify complex network issues that cannot be detected by humans or traditional rule-based approaches.
The main features of NetWarden are:
- Visual Clustering, NetWarden automatically creates geographical clusters, polygons, labels, density attributes.
- Anomalies Detection, it observes and reports any recent abnormal behaviour in your network.
- Top Issues, that ‘One List’ that covers the most important issues on the current day, for quick troubleshooting.
- Detection of Abnormal Clusters, an early warning system in case an issue spreads geographically.
- Feature Insights, correlates network information with performance – for example it can detect an antenna interference causing issues in multiple cells.
- Soft Consistency Checks to detect issues, as bad allocations of PSC/PCI and LAC/RAC/TAC.
- Impact of Changes on Performance, tracks changes in the network whilst observing the performance and warns users about impending problems that may arise before the change is done.
- Root Cause Analysis (under development), a correlation of PM, CM, Alarms, Inventory and traces to automatically identify network issues and the possible cause.
GEOLOCATION
NetGeo implements a proprietary advanced geolocation algorithm that estimates the location of hundreds of thousands of simultaneous calls extracted from RNC traces.
True coverage patterns and precise locations of call events allow engineers to diagnose and resolve network performance problems in a much shorter time. To large extent, geolocation module reduces the need for extensive and time consuming drive test campaigns.
NetGeo provides additional functionalities needed for efficient network optimization, such as coverage and usage maps based on RSCP, EcNo, data volumes or call density, interference and pilot pollution maps, event maps based on dropped calls, failed handovers, etc.
Geolocation module includes automated algorithms to detect overshooting cells and misaligned or swapped sectors. Antenna tilt changes in overshooting sectors can be easily verified as. Footprints from period before and after tilt change can be compared.
Phone Profiling module enables extensive performance analysis of multiple aspects in relation to the manufacturer device, such as the model and the software version, all based on millions of calls extracted from RNC traces. Voice or packet call usage, traffic volume, roamers, top 50 devices in any category, analysis of RRC and NAS messages, dropped and blocked calls analysis – all per device type or category – is now possible with phone profiling.
Regarding the geolocation module, usage or event density maps per device type or category can be visualized. NetGeo can support intelligent rollout of small cells based on precise traffic usage maps.
NetCDR
NetCDR parses and processes in real time billions of multi-vendor CDRs generated by a Mobile Network.
Dashboards and reports with different granularity can be built, grouping CDR information per vendor, technology, timing (daily, busy hour), location and Network Element.
CDR information, that is important for network monitoring and optimization, such as KPIs per subscriber and QoE, can be correlated with other source data (such as counters, KPIs and Trace data) to provide a complete view of the subscriber experience together with the network behaviour.
NetChart PM Benchmarking
NetChart PM Benchmarking allows to easily compare network performance among different variables.
Operators can compare vendors’ performance, such as: Nokia vs Huawei vs Ericsson.
Operator groups, with operations in different Countries or Regions, can benchmark the performance of their subsidiaries.
Telecom regulators can, in a simple and cost-effective way, use PM Benchmarking to access and compare Mobile Operator services. This is achieved without the necessity to perform time consuming and expensive Benchmarking Drive Tests.
